What's Your Song?

Songs have a powerful place in the minds and hearts of listeners.  
FPR has asked the ISB community to tackle the question: "What's Your Song?"  In three minutes or less, contributors have Shared personal or historical connections and context to the chosen songs, followed by expressive spoken word performances of stanzas and lines from the lyrics.  Here are some of the best:


May 12, 2017:  May L explains how Katy Perry's "Roar" inspires her to be a more confident person.  Her spoken word performance then inspires the FPR audience.


May 12, 2017: Molly H talks about the challenges of growing up in her incredible spoken word performance of Adele's "Million Years Ago".


May 12, 2017:  As part of the "What's Your Song?" series, Mell M analyzes Kendrick Lamar's "Alright" to tackle some of the difficult issues at the root of racial tensions in the US and the hopeful Black Lives Matter movement.


May 12, 2017:  Another contribution to the "What's Your Song?" project is Judy P's interpretation and analysis of "Shape of My Heart" by Sting.  The song worked powerfully as a title track from the classic film, The Professional.
